Recently, I had someone ask me why we post patriot and political articles and quotes and promote those kind of products on a creation website. Since it’s a fair question that I suspect others have asked themselves, I thought it worth addressing on this week’s Feed Back.
The short and simple answer is that they all deal with our foundational beliefs in God’s Word or the lack thereof. Allow me to explain.
When America was founded, it was founded upon biblical principles and laws. The belief in the Bible as God’s Word was strong and important to our Founding Fathers. George Washington, who many today try to portray as being a Deist, prayed for God’s protection and deliverance and then thanked God for helping to secure the nation from the British (definitely not the actions of a Deist).
As Bible believing Christians, they also believed in a literal 6 twenty-four hour days of creation. They understood the important of the first few chapters of Genesis as laying the foundation for Jesus Christ and our need of a Savior.
Then in the middle 1800’s theories started circulating that questioned the accuracy of the Bible. The geological concept of millions of years crept into our young country and then Darwin’s godless theory of evolution began to spread like a disease, eating away at the very roots of Christendom.
As the theory of evolution grew in popularity, so did other liberal ideas that flew in the face of Christianity. People saw evolution as an escape from the confines of biblical fidelity. They used it as their excuses to justify living out their sinful desires. Since our Constitution and founding laws were based upon biblical teachings and principles, these soon became questioned by the people and leaders who embraced evolution.
Laws, once established upon God’s Word were changed to allow for non-biblical practices. Like yeast permeating through a batch of bread dough, evolution and anti-biblical ideas spread into every area of American life.
I can’t tell you how many people I’ve talked to over the years that tell me that you can’t believe everything in the Bible because evolution proves it’s wrong. I’ve also heard lawmakers say that laws established on the Bible are antiquated and need to be modernized to fit our modern and supposedly advanced society.
If you do a little research into the history of progressive politics in America, you will find that it became more popular not long after evolutionary theory came to the America. As evolution evolved, so did progressive politics. You will also discover in your study that one of the foundational requirements for progressive politics was to undermine the nation’s belief in the Bible. This was discussed and written about before the turn of 1900. Progressives knew that they could never gain full power and control as long as there were so many Christians in the land. They also saw evolution as the tool to root out Christianity and make people question the Bible. Why do you think liberal politicians not only promote evolutionary teachings but protect it with laws and statutes? It was part of their plan over 100 years ago and it’s working quite well for them.
Our goals here at Creation Revolution are first and foremost to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ and proclaim Him as Lord and Savior. Secondly, our goal is to show that evolution is nothing more than a godless religion that is being used to turn people away from the Bible. As they turn away, they become more susceptible to the ways of a wicked world and wicked government. Just read Romans 1:18-31 and look at America today. A large part of the reason our nation is in so much trouble is that we as a nation have turned away from God’s Word and that began with questioning what Genesis says about creation.
Creation and evolution play a more important role in America’s politics than most people think. Creationists are the most conservative group in the land while evolutionists make up a large part of the liberal political spectrum.
We pray that God will use our website to help reach people with a saving knowledge of Him and His Word. The more people we can influence for God, the more hope there is for our country. The more we can show people that there is no scientific evidence for evolution and that it is nothing more than a godless religion of death, the more people will turn back to the Bible and the biblical laws we once had.
As I tell everyone, if you want to heal our nation, you need to follow God’s instructions in 2 Chronicles 7:14 which read:
If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
By Gary DeMar
Christianity is written on every page of America’s amazing history. Gary DeMar presents well-documented facts which will change your perspective about what it means to be a Christian in America; the truth about America’s Christian past as it relates to supreme court justices, and presidents; the Christian character of colonial charters, state constitutions, and the US Constitution; the Christian foundation of colleges, the Christian character of Washington, D.C.; the origin of Thanksgiving and so much more. Three appendixes have been added that further emphasize Christianitys positive influence on America. Additional information includes Deism and the Founding of America and Jesus Christ and the Founding of America. This is an indispensable book which is needed in a time when even “under God” is coming under fire.
