When giving his centennial address to Congress in 1876, then U.S. Representative James Garfield issued the following warning:

Now, more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress.  If that body be ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption.  If it be intelligent, brave, and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature… If the next centennial does not find us a great nation…it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces.

Over a century has passed since Garfield’s prophetic statement.  Over the last 100 years, Americans have been steadily electing more and more liberal politicians that are part of a planned agenda of removing all vestiges of our nation’s Christian heritage.

The United States of America is well on its way to becoming a socialistic nation and it wouldn’t surprise this author to see the Obama administration change our name to The National Socialist States of America before he leaves office, if he ever does leave.

President Obama’s family has a history of Islamic and Marxist ideologies starting mainly with his father and mother.  He admittedly sought out socialist and Marxist professors while in college and even his so-called personal advisor and Christian pastor Rev. Wallace is a self-proclaimed socialist and has preached many socialist teachings from his pulpit.  Obama has surrounded himself in office with a number of advisors with socialist and Marxist beliefs.  So is it any wonder that Obama has abandoned the United States Constitution and has set a course for the final destruction of our Christian nation as we have known it?

The health care bill that he so proudly waved from his pulpit is a complete affront to everything the Founding Fathers established in the U. S. Constitution.  It violates several articles of the U.S. Constitution, including those that prohibit the federal government from requiring private citizens to purchase any product, including health insurance and invoke a fine if they don’t.

The health industry in all of its many aspects accounts for nearly one-sixth of the total economy of the U.S.  The passage of this bill last year gives the federal government control over that portion of the economy. Written into the healthcare bill was a provision that also gave the government complete control of the student loan programs.

Not long after the healthcare bill passed, Congress passed a financial reform bill that gave the government more control over the financial industry.  At the same time, the government also stepped in and took control over several of the major auto manufacturers.  The federal government now has direct or indirect control of nearly one half of the U.S. economy.

Then we have to ask about their dismantling of the U.S. Constitution.  The First Amendment right to free speech is rapidly being stripped away as our government officials adopt the United Nation’s hate language laws and the efforts of the federal government to restrict the Internet.

The Second Amendment gives American citizens the right to own and bear firearms and was considered to be one of the fundamental rights of U.S. citizens.  In a letter to John Cartwright, Thomas Jefferson wrote:

The constitutions of most of our States assert that all power is inherent in the people; that… it is their right and duty to be at all times armed.

And when drafting the new constitution for the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1776, Jefferson wrote:

No freeman shall be debarred the use of arms (within his own lands or tenements).

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has signed the United Nations Small Arms Treaty for the United States.  This U.N. treaty is nothing more than global gun control as it defines all hunting rifles, shotguns and handguns as small arms.  Private ownership of any firearm would not be controlled by the government, it would be illegal.

Liberal members of the U.S. Supreme Court have repeatedly stated that they feel it necessary to redefine the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights to make them pertinent to today’s America instead of what the Founders intended nearly 250 years ago.  By redefining, they mean that they can openly disregard any of the principles and intent of the original documents that established our nation.

Once they can get away with a flagrant disregard for the U.S. Constitution on any one item, it’s just a matter of time before they completely toss the entire document in the garbage can and fully establish the National Socialist States of America with a new document that will be subject to their changes and interpretation as they see fit.

Instead of the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution that now reads:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

may soon read like this:

We the Government of the National Socialist States, in Order to form Our perfect Union, establish Justice for those in charge, demand domestic Tranquility, partially provide for the common defense, promote Social Welfare, and demand the Blessings from the people to the government and for our Posterity, do manifest and establish this New Constitution for the National Socialist States of America.

In 1775, John Adams expressed this concern in a letter to his wife, Abigail when he said:

Our consolation must be this, my dear, that cities may be rebuilt, and a people, reduced to poverty, may acquire fresh property. But a constitution of government, once changed from freedom, can never be restored. Liberty once lost, is lost forever. When the people once surrender their share in the Legislature, and their right of defending the limitations upon the Government, and of resisting every encroachment upon them, they can never regain it.

“Oh, you’re just an alarmist”, some will say.  And I would agree, because just like the alarm that shown from the bell tower of the Old North Church in Boston so many years ago, it is once again time to sound an alarm.

Wake up America!  What’s happening today sounds exactly like what the British crown did to the colonists in the 1700’s by controlling their commerce and imposing undue taxes upon them.  And what was the response from the colonists and our Founding Fathers?  They drove the British out of OUR country with whatever means was available, up to and including waging war on the tyranny of the crown.

Right now, the most effective way to wage the war and fight this socialist agenda is to vote for Christians to fill every available political position, just as instructed by John Jay, the First Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court when he said

Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation, to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.

It is our duty to vote for Christians and if there are no Christians running for office, then we need to find thosethat are qualified and encourage them to do so and get behind them and support them and endorse them.  The only way to save United States of America and prevent it from becoming the National Socialist States of America is to put Christian leaders back in office as in the days of our Founding Fathers.

The Nature of the American System

Behind the writing of history is a philosophy of history, and behind that philosophy of history are certain pre-theoretical and essentially religious presuppositions. There is no such thing as brute factuality, but rather only interpreted factuality. The historian’s report is always the report of a perspective, a context, a framework. Unlike God, man is not beyond time and circumstance, condition and place. Man is neither a prime mover nor a prime viewer, but, to deny man the status of a first cause and a first view is by no means to deny the validity or function of secondary causes and secondary viewers.

The writing of history is always in terms of a framework—a philosophical and ultimately religious conceptual structure in the mind of the historian. To the orthodox Christian, the shabby incarnations of the reigning historiographies are both absurd and offensive. They are idols, and he is forbidden to bow down to them and must indeed wage war against them. A Christian historiography and a Christian revisionism are thus for him moral imperatives.

For Christian revisionism, there is thus an incarnation that stands as the central point in history, Jesus Christ, and, this incarnation was without confusion of the eternal and the temporal, the divine and the human. This requires a denial of any coming, continuing, or possible incarnation in any historical order or institution. The divinization of church, state, school, or any other institution, or its absorption into the incarnation, is thus a sign of paganism.

The essays in this book are studies in Christian revisionism. Their purpose is to call attention to those aspects of American history which are currently being neglected.
